After attending the trombone course at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Turin, due to his passion for drums, Elio Rivagli begins his studies in Italy and after a few years he has the opportunity to deepen them by going to the U.S.A.

In 1985 he joined the Symphony Orchestra of the Teatro Regio in Turin, for a period as a percussionist. To date he has participated in numerous records and tours with great artists of Italian and non-Italian music: Eros Ramazzotti, Mia Martini, Loredana Bertè, Fiorella Mannoia, Ornella Vanoni, Ivano Fossati, Claudio Baglioni, Fabrizio De Andrè, Miyazawa Kazufumi, Justin Haward (Moody Blues), Jesus Vasquez, Alejandro Sanz, Graham Gouldman, Art Garfunkel, Giorgio Gaber, Elisa, Renato Zero, Max Pezzali, Ron, Cesare Cremonini and many others.

Since 2013 Elio Rivagli is part of the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra for the concerts organized by tenor Joseph Calleja, accompanying internationally renowned artists such as: Leona Lewis, Rebecca Ferguson, Zucchero, Anastacia, Claudio Baglioni, Susan Vega, Andrea Bocelli and others.
He has participated in the creation of several soundtracks, among which:
for Mauro Pagani- Gabriele Salvatores “Siberian Education” and finally with Ennio Morricone for the film “The Hateful Eight” by Quentin Tarantino.
