Manuel Alejandro Basurto Lomba graduated in Composition with honours at the Saint Louis College of Music in Rome.

Born in Villahermosa, Tabasco, Mexico. At a young age, he moved to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, where he began studying piano.

He made his debut as an Arrangement and Orchestrator for the musical “The Miracle of Fatima” in 2009, in which he also attended the Choral Direction.

In 2013 he was selected to be part of the cast of Giacomo Puccini’s opera La Bohème to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the “Teatro Nacional” in Santo Domingo.

In 2016 he composed the score for the short film “Cordones Necios” by Hector Matias, winning as “Best Romantic Comedy” at the Mexico International Film Festival.

In the same year he produced the musical “The Chronicles of Narnia”.

In 2017 she presents her composition “Alike” also directing the orchestra at the Teatro Eliseo in Rome, part of the concert “Ink” of the Saint Louis Factory.

In 2018 he presents his composition for piano, clarinet, violin and cello entitled “Sunrise” in Madrid, Spain.

In June of the same year, his opera “Murky” was performed for the first time in his third participation in “Ink”, directing the orchestra in the Auditorium Parco della Musica.
