Milena Nigro, a graduate in jazz singing from Saint Louis College of Music, specialized in jazz arranging and conducting, studying with masters Luigi Giannatempo, Antonio Solimene and Amedeo Tommasi.

Winner in 2014 of the Barga jazz international competition of arrangement and composition for orchestra, in section C, she has collaborated for several years as an arranger with the Saint Louis Big band.

He has written arrangements for several Italian and European orchestras, collaborating with many artists such as Javier Girotto, Gegè Telesforo, Peppe Servillo, Walter Ricci, Nina Pedersen and many others.

Participates as vocal section teacher and video writing instructor in the Master’s Program in Big Band at Saint Louis College of Music.

He collaborates with teachers such as Vince Mendoza, Richard De Rosa and Gianni Oddi.

Conducts the big band of the Conservatorio Superior de Musica de Navarra at “Italian Jazz C.R.E.A.,” special guest Javier Girotto.

With the vocal ensemble “Saint Louis Voices Section,” of which she is director, arranger and chorister, she has participated in the most important Italian jazz festivals.

He opened Kurt Elling’s concert in Rome at the Teatro Eliseo, performing his arrangement “Duke Ellington’s suite,” and has performed at major European conservatories.

The ensemble won the first edition of the “CorAmare” International Grand Prix of Choral Singing in the “Vocal Ensemble” section.

Milena Nigro also directs several choral ensembles, whose arrangements she oversees, with a predilection for a cappella arrangements.

In conclusion, he is National Certified Lecturer in Videowriting with “Finale.” He collaborated with Midimusic on the Italian version of “Finale in jazz” for the Finale 25 edition.
