Vincenzo Presta began studying the clarinet at a very young age and graduated from the “T. Schipa” Conservatory of Lecce in 1992.

He successfully participates in various national chamber music competitions and master classes.

Approaching jazz, he extended his knowledge of this musical genre by deepening his study of jazz saxophone with Maurizio Giammarco and Rosario Giuliani,

He graduated in Jazz Music in 1998 and obtained in 2007 at the “N. Piccinni” Conservatory of Bari the Level II Academic Diploma in “Musical Disciplines – Jazz Music Course.”

From 1998 onwards he participated in various competitions, “Massimo Urbani” Award, International Competition “W jazz”, Roman Academy of Music, Terni in Jazz, Umbria Jazz Clinics 1998/2001;

In the same year he participated in the Umbria Jazz summer seminars, winning a scholarship awarded by “Berklee College” in Boston.

Over the years he has performed in various formations with Fabrizio Bosso, Ettore Fioravanti, Bebo Ferra, Paolo Fresu, Gegè Telesforo, Daniele Silvestri, and Vince Mendoza.

Accompanying artists such as Cecilia Gasdia, Lucio Dalla, Pooh, Renzo Arbore, Christian De Sica, Alexia, Eugenio Bennato and Paolo Belli.

In 2008 he was listed in the TOP JAZZ 2007, ‘Instrumentalist of the Year’ category and in 2010 in the TOP JAZZ 2009, ‘Best New Talent’ category.

Since 2015 he has been a member of the Little Orchestra accompanying Flavio Insinna’s play “The Happiness Machine’”.

As an arranger and conductor he has had the opportunity to collaborate with Antonella Ruggiero, Antonella De Grossi, Chiara Civello and in 2018 with Diodato and Roy Paci .
