JAMMIN’

Like an alien invasion, the Saint Louis spacecraft teleport to Rome Jammin 2016. 14th edition of a musical anthology mirroring the artistic trends born in Italy, pages browsed by the Roman septembrian breeze.

Jammin’ year 2016 an extraordinary review that targets elsewhere, this noise that breaks the silence and projects on stage 200 artists, already great musicians.

Jazz, Soul, Pop, Rock sound like the rusted gear of the last century, make the earthly events of the gods of the Olympus smile as today; Music is as unpredictable as the human soul, because it is its fruit, it springs from everyday life that everything is but linear, it is chaos, reflection, vision, interaction, loneliness, conservation and avant-garde, because there is no freedom without certain boundaries.

The frame is the limit to the freedom of the painter, just as the living marble can only be reduced and shaped by the scalp, the illusion of augmented reality is only a quantum algorithm of bits, which in truth pushes very little beyond the tangible. It is indeed our individual and collective consciousness that explodes endless worlds into the infinitely small, eternal music in the duration of a concert.

And then the audience, because it is the people who make the history of the concert, so present in these years that we are forced to change the room for a larger one, the Petrassi Hall, where the Master Goffredo will listen pleased artists little more than twenty years old with still the daring to make music with the fingers, the breath and the sweat, just a few meters from the eyes of the people instead of safely inside a plasma screen badly hidden by layers of dark background.
