Multistyl guitars, I wanted to collect in this text the basic subjects of the various topics that a musician begins to study. It is a multi-style course, in the sense that the subjects will be useful for both the rock, pop, blues and jazz guitarist.

  • The technique first of all, to learn to have a physical approach with the multi-style guitar. Taking care from the beginning of the aspects of the setting, understood as the posture of the body and subsequently of the hands.
  • Right and left, with various exercises aimed at developing coordination, articulation, independence, speed etc.
  • Then proceed to the study of melodic technique, with major, minor, modal, narrow and wide scales.
  • Pentatonics, blues, rhythmic melodic patterns, harmonic and melodic harpy.

All topics that will then be applied to the study of musical tracks according to the genre and style chosen. In addition, triad agreements, quadratic agreements and power chords with the rebels will be considered.

Any material that will find application on tracks and musical bases.

Reading, a subject that the guitarist will have to deal with sooner or later!

Why not start reading from the pentagram, scales, sentences, chords, as well as guitar diagrams or tabulates, which are still very valid tools for storage and assimilation.

Let us not forget that tabulates, otherwise called embroidery, are an invention dating back to 1500, and the system of notation on musical rigour, the pentagram, represents an evolution-update, of that invention, and not the other way around!

Particular attention must be paid to rhythmic reading, which I consider to be of fundamental importance, especially in order to care for the basic coordination between elements of rhythm, such as beating and lifting and the technical aspects of the movement of the plethora, which can initially be associated, to make the various rhythmal figurations more clear and synchronized.

I also inserted the first basic information of theory, references to sound and characteristics, temperate system, alterations, circle of the scenes, diatonic and chromatic scale, reading keys, musical figures, indication of time, point, value bonds.
